Licensing Manager
Our Client, America’s largest state-owned, public power enterprise, has an exciting opportunity for a Licensing Manager to work in our White Plains, NY or Albany, NY office. In this position, you will work closely with Federal and State regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities include directing the day-to-day activities for re-licensing St. Lawrence-FDR and Blenheim-Gilboa projects; and its small Hydro plants; overseeing the daily implementation of the FERC-issued licenses and settlement agreements; and managing NYPA staff and consultants.
Candidates must possess a degree in management planning, law, engineering, public administration, environmental science or related disciplines, along with 10+ years experience in interdisciplinary development of projects. Experience in managing large, multi-faceted projects is desired. Knowledge of Federal and State permitting and regulations relating to the licensing and operation of hydroelectric power projects is necessary. Excellent management, planning, organization, initiative, decision-making, leadership, collaboration, negotiating, written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to mobilize people, sustain performance and perform subordinate coaching is a must. Regular site visits to project locations will be required.
